The Dave The Rave Bangkok website celebrates it's first anniversary with record numbers of visitors. Not only is Dave the rave, he is also a prisoner in paradise, Go-Go guru and manager of Angelwitch in Bangkok. Offering a unique insider viewpoint, DTR is much improved (despite the black background) since it's move to Wordpress format.
Dave's recent scoop on the sad closure of Nana's Big Mango Bar, unfairly in our opinion, became a classic case of "shoot the messenger". Some lively exchanges took place in the comments sections and we liked the professional way Dave handled most of the contributors. While a number of Thailand nightlife related websites are gloomily predicting the end of Nana Plaza, DTR has a positive, good time attitude enjoying the here and now.
Unfortunately if you are looking for pictures of lovely Angelwitch cuties the gallery has been removed out of respect for the girls. Other established Thai nightlife sites get by without girlie photos and we don't think this will stop the increasing number of Dave The Rave Bangkok readers.
You can find a charmingly described "random tart" on our favourite naughty nightlife reporter's website Bangkok Bad Boy. 3B bravely decided to celebrate his site's first birthday by giving it a new look recently. Stickman (or is it Stickmen these days?) has been on form with a new logo and an excellent article on the end of The Big Mango Bar. His (or their) "Ask Miss Udon" section caused controversy weeks earlier over comments on male genital mutilation, perhaps this explains the return of Mrs Stick.
Down in Pattaya we were looking for ThaiAnxiety and found it on a new server along with another friendly Wordpress based site, the interesting and broad ranging MangoZeen. As Fun City gears up for the forthcoming high season new ladies are arriving at the bars and Go-Gos, The Classroom website is packed with 100s of pictures, information on Thai bar girls and unfortunately a black background. According to a statement on the main page The Classroom respects the laws of Thailand and dignity of its people. Not all girls for reasons of their own want to be featured on the site so the only way you will get to see them (and the Angelwitch lovelies) is to visit the bars.
